Where the System Starts.

The patent-pending GX2™ Base Layer is the foundation of the RosCo layering system. Designed to sit next to your skin, it actively manages warmth, moisture, and movement to keep your body comfortable as conditions and activity levels change throughout the day.

Our dual-sided GX2™ thermal grid is engineered to perform differently on each side. The interior lifts sweat away from your skin and helps it dry quickly, while the exterior holds warmth within structured channels. Together, they create a balance that keeps you warm when temperatures fall without trapping unnecessary heat when you are moving.

Silent four-way stretch provides unrestricted mobility in the field, while the athletic fit layers cleanly without bunching or adding unnecessary bulk. Thumbholes and an extended drop hem help keep everything securely in place as you move, bend, and add additional layers.

Wear the GX2™ Base Layer on its own during active or milder conditions, or pair it with the GX2™ Performance Hoodie, GX2™ Lined Flannel, Outfitter Half-Zip, or Guide Pro Jacket to build a complete system for colder weather.

Every dependable layering system starts with what is closest to your body. The patent-pending GX2™ Base Layer controls moisture, balances warmth, and moves with you—giving every layer above it a better foundation to perform.

The hunt starts at the base. GX2™ was built to hold heat when you’re still and dump sweat when you’re moving. The thermal grid keeps the balance, warmth outside, moisture lifted inside. FABRIC CARE

How do I wash wool pieces?

Spot clean when you can. For bigger washes, use cold water, gentle cycle, and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.

How do I wash technical shells?

Cold wash on gentle cycle with a tech wash (no fabric softener). Hang dry. This keeps waterproofing intact.

Can I machine wash flannels, hoodies, and fleece?

Yes. Cold wash, tumble dry low, no bleach.

Do dryers or irons damage gear?

Yes. Heat breaks down waterproof coatings and wax. Air dry everything to extend life.

How often should I reapply waterproofing?

When water stops beading on the fabric. For waxed canvas, apply a fresh coat of wax. For shells, use a spray-on or wash-in waterproofing treatment after cleaning.

Why We Do It

Fit matters in the field. We would rather you order two and end up with the right size than settle for gear that does not feel right. Every piece is built to last a season and beyond, but only if it fits the way it should.
